MY HOPES FOR 2022: Maree Todd, SNP MSP for Caithness, Sutherland and Ross
Maree Todd sees potential for high-quality jobs in green industries in the north Highlands as the Covid-19 public health crisis begins to ease.
Ms Todd was elected last May as the SNP MSP for Caithness, Sutherland and Ross and is also the minister for public health, women’s health and sport in the Scottish Government.
“The past two years have been exceptionally tough, and I know I won’t be alone in hoping that 2022 is full of good health and a life less dominated by Covid-19,” she said.
“As we come through the public health crisis and we look towards a Covid recovery, I hope that this will bring new opportunities for those living and working in my constituency.
“We’ve seen cutting-edge developments in green technology over the past year and we know that the north Highlands is well equipped to further advance this. In making our assets work for us, I hope to see us lead the way in 2022 and secure high-quality jobs in green industries.
Finally, as a keen rugby fan, my hopes are also pinned on seeing Scotland’s women’s team qualify for the World Cup and the men win the Six Nations!”
